KTM has revived the 790 Duke, which the Austrian manufacturer calls 'The Original Scalpel', for 2022 with new updates and tech. The KTM 790 Duke needs no introduction. Despite its short stint, the 790 Duke managed to sell over 29,000 units. However, the introduction of Euro 5 emission standards opted the Austrian manufacturer to introduce the 890 Duke by increasing the displacement of the Duke’s LC8c Parallel-Twin from 799cc to 889cc.KTM says the 790 Duke will fill the gap between the KTM 390 Duke and KTM 890 Duke. Although KTM indicated it was developing a range of 490 models using a twin-cylinder engine, however, the project seems to have hit an obstacle. The KTM 790 Duke will be now reintroduced into the market, with Europe receiving the 95 hp version while the rest of the world will receive the full 105 hp version. In terms of electronics, the KTM 790 Duke boasts the most advanced and complete package in the midrange segment, with standard features such as Cornering Sensitive Motorcycle Traction Control, Cornering ABS with Supermoto mode, 3 standard Ride modes to quickly change the feel of the engine and level of MTC, Full-color 5-inch TFT display and LED lights all around. It is not certain if KTM will introduce the 2022 KTM 790 Duke in the Nepalese market. Considering Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. Ltd, the sole authorised distributor for KTM motorcycles in Nepal, did open the bookings for the 790 Duke last year, it's still undisclosed if KTM will reintroduce the 2022 model in our market.
